Hey, Josh.  It looks like we're the only two registered users so far.  I wonder how long it will take for Vlad, Mark and the rest of the phorum to sign up.  And I wonder exactly what name Vlad will use here.

Welcome aboard, leinad. I haven't officially announced the opening of the Phorum yet because I still plan on changing the color scheme, etc., so that's why we're the only two users yet, but hopefully we can get some threads started before everyone else finds us.

I think this board is going to work out well. I like it a lot, though the Admin. functions are pretty complicated, and for some reason it's disallowing me to upload an avatar from my computer...

This looks a lot like the cmcentral forum.  I wonder if it will get as many members as cmcentral has.

CMC uses an Invision Board, as well, so yeah, they're very similar.

Go to My Controls and then Edit Avatar Settings. At the bottom of the screen, there will be two boxes where you can input the Width and Heigth of your avatar. I think the default is 80x80, but yours will probably look better at around 65x65 or so.

I did that and it's not working for me. But I found if I stand about four feet away from the computer, my avatar looks perfect!

I don't know what scares me more:  the thought of this place becoming as huge as CMC (love them dearly, been a member for over two years, but it's a high pressure area!) or the fact that Josh already has 24 posts.  :D

I hope we don't ever become as big as CMC, either, though new members are always welcome.

And yeah, my post count is a little frightening, isn't it?  laugh

For about two hours this afternoon, I was the second highest poster. That was a record. But now my victory is gone. Oh well. Life goes on.

Well, I'm using the name Vlad!. Vlad! The Mighty Armored Assault Duck is too long and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is too Bolshevik. I would be Vlaad the Impaler, but identifying me with an insane mass-murder is less appealing than identifying me with a dead communist leader.

There's actually an emoticon for my o.O emote, but I think I'll stick with the hand-made ones ;)

We're still getting some of the 'moving in' strangeness out, but yeah, this is a nice place. It's been fun messing with it ^^

I've copied over your old eHandshake, so your profile is up and running. Glad to have you aboard ;)
