I ask because I'm, um, writing a biography of them, but I'd never even heard of them until this afternoon. All I know about them is that their nickname is "indie pop's godfathers." Whatever *that* means.
So, any fans here?

never heard of them... but just wondering, why are you doing a biography of someone you've never heard of?

Relevant Magazine asked me to do it. The story will appear in a future issue of their print magazine.

Yeah, when they found out that I wasn't s subscriber, they were, shall we say, less than pleased. I get a free copy of the issue that has my article in it, so if I like that one then I'll subscribe.
And look on the bright side... we know already that at least one article in that issue will be first-rate. =D

Well this is annoying...
I'm supposed to write a piece on The Ocean Blue.
I'm getting paid 25 bucks, but I'm not being sent any of the band's music.
So, for me to be able to write this review, I'm going to have to spent most of my paycheck on a CD. Unless I can find a few MP3s.
[_[ Hmmm...

That's not right, yo.
You should contact the indie-pop's godfathers' publicist and get a dang copy of their music free.
Sheesh... some people...
Peace out, Andree

My dear chum and editor, the almighty Erika Larson, says that she's tried many times to contact the band's publicist, but to no avail. Alas. Oh well, I'm sure there are some MP3s out there somewhere...

That really stinks, Josh. But there is internet file sharing...
Oh and yeah. I think I have *heard of* Ocean Blue before. My science teacher tossed the name once in class, I think.

Yeah, I've found a few songs online. And I'm writing a spotlight rather than a review, so it's not like I have to hear every single song they've ever done...
