hmm...i agree complete blasphemy.

I never thought of mel gibson as doing "the passion" for laughs though...im guessing he means the money they make from it.  Interesting

Ugh. You're right. That's out right blasphemy. Granted, he has freedom of speech. But my heart just turns after reading about that.

The problem is that when we make fun of Jesus or God, we aren't making fun of ourselves (as he claims is okay to do). We're treating the Creator of the universe as a punch line.

ugh.

regarding Mel and making money, the stupid thing is that early on people were like "who would want to watch a movie with dialog completely in dead languages and no subtitles" and the studios wouldn't touch it. now that it has made a lot of money people are like "money is what it's all about".
