Tomorrow I leave on a plane for San Diego. My friend and I are going by ourselves. As I live in Tennessee, this is a pretty big jump for me. I've never done anything like this before without supervision. We're going for 5 days, and are just going to sight-see and go to the ocean and do all kinds of fun things. And we're also going to spread the light of Christ. We went on a street-evangelism mission trip to Europe last summer where we did the exact same thing... visited museums and such, and on trains and in the youth hostels ans everywhere we went we witnessed. And it was on the way back that God gave us the oportunity to go to San Diego this year. We got bumped... and had to wait in the airport for 8 hours, but got this free plane ticket. So here we are, and we need LOTS of prayer.

I would appreciate it if some of you guys would commit to praying for us every day. You don't have to, but if any of you feel called to do so, I would love it. God will bless you for it. Thank you so much!

In God's hands,
Mark

(btw... my friend's name is Christian... he needs prayer too)

I wish you God's blessings on your trip. May His Spirit guide you both, Mark and Christian. I'm so encouraged to learn that God can already use you guys on the mission field.

I tried to say the right things in the right way, but  simple silence is the only way to conclude my attempt.

Ponderings and then restatements from both sides will cause more of the same.

So remember: Stan, yes, this man, gave his best and is leaving it up to you and Him to do the rest.

I'll pray, but I doubt you'll need it...you'll be having so much fun you'll forget to be scared of a "new experience" Wink

If you don’t have freedom as a principle, you can never see a reason not to make an exception. There are constantly going to be times when for one reason or another there’s some practical convenience in making an exception.
