The second topic I posted! In one day! Woo hoo.
Here's another group I recommend. Yes, the greatest pop duo ever from the turbulent 1960s: Simon&Garfunkel.
The reason this duo is on my mind is because I recently bought their 1968 album (and what critics call their best, and I can't disagree yet), "Bookends". I definitely suggest it to any music lover.
Highlights: great vocals, great harmonies, deep insightful lyrics, dynamic music, and lovely arrangments. They're folk/rock with pop flavors and they're good at what they do.
Best songs (imho): Fakin' It, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Mrs. Robinson, Sounds of Silence, Cecelia, At the Zoo, America, The Boxer, and Scarborough Fair/Canticle.
Thoughts? Comments? As you can probably guess, I really like these guys. If the Beatles weren't my favorite group of the 60s, they would be.
