Any takers? Any fans?

Well, as you can probably guess. I love Bob Marley. Bob Marley and the Wailers were the best band in the 70s! (IMHO...60s: Beatles, 70s: the Marley, 80s-90s: U2) Anyway, I know not everyone likes Reggae, but Bob Marley was one of those artists who pushed the envelope. I really like his stuff. It grooves nicely.  B)  He has a lot to say. He was also a bit of a pot head (okay, maybe that's an understatment). But his music is still great. Best album to get if you're interested: Uprising. His last one before he died of cancer.  Sad  It contains great songs like Pimper's Paradise and Could You Be Loved (one of the best "jammin'" songs ever--oh yeah, another good song). Hey, Josh, I'm sure you've heard "I Shot the Sherriff" or at least Dylan's version. I have heard Dylan's, but I can assure you the Marley's is great (and he wrote it first).

Bob Marley. Jammin.  B)

PS: Anyone like Jack Johnson or Ben Harper. Both heavily influenced by Bob Marley. Or maybe that deserves to be a topic on it's own, but I think this is enough new topics for today for me.

I just know of a few Marley songs from the radio, but I like what I've heard. And yeah, I can definitely hear the Marley in Jack Johnson, OAR, and others.
