Let's make this the official thread for posting links to exciting new movie trailers. I'll start with a sneak peak at what is my second most highly anticipated film of the year: THE INCREDIBLES.

Well, it shows us literally NOTHING about the movie except for the names of the people involved, but, for whatever its worth, here's one for Ocean's Twelve.

As perhaps the only Christopher Walken fan on this board, I guess it's up to me to post the trailer for Around the Bend, which also features the great Michael Caine.

This one may end up as one of the year's best surprises: I Heart Huckabees. Hilarious trailer + Wes Anderson-ish tone + Dustin Hoffman, Jude Law, Naomi Watts, and the great Jason Schwartzman= A pretty safe bet.

Silver City might be an even more effective anti-Bush movie than Fahrenheit 911. And I must confess... it looks pretty dadgum funny, although not very subtle.

I love Walken, as well. His performance in Catch Me if You Can was very moving, and he managed to take a very small role and make it highly memorable in Pulp Fiction.

His character was well-written, but I don't think he executed it all that well. It was better than most of his performances, but I think it's because he was supposed to seem pathetic, so the fact that he came across that way worked out pretty well but doesn't mean he was a good actor.
Has anyone seen him in Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" music video? He's the only guy who could look stiff and emotionless while flying around or dancing in a hotel lobby ]_]

He's the only guy who could look stiff and emotionless while flying around or dancing in a hotel lobby >_> That's the whole point, and it's why that music video is so brilliant. Who else could be so entertaining just dancing around a hotel lobby for five minutes? Spike Jonze is a genius.

You're crazy But you also have a point. In this trailer (which shows enough of the plot that I feel I already know everything that happens), the disasters seem contrived, the special effects not-so-special (did that electrical storm look real to anyone?), and the characters fairly stock. The character interactions would be interesting if I thought they would amount to anything not seen before. I wouldn't say it looks like a bad move, but I don't think it really has that much originality to offer.

It's a remake of a film from the 60's. It's actually a really good film. I had to watch it for a class and enjoyed it. I don't like the casting but it'll be interesting to see how well they stuck to the original

I might give the original a shot, then.
But, generally, remakes disappoint.

I didn't recognize Jamie 'weird guy, weird last name' Foxx in the trailer, and it looked interesting. Ray Charles (the real one, back when he was, you know, alive) played in Blues Brothers.

Has anyone seen the trailer for Final Cut? It reminded me a little of One Hour Photo (which I despised), but I think Williams' character isn't quite so creepy in this one, though he may still be voyeuristic. It looks interesting, though.

I'm actually quite interested in seeing Birth when it comes out. I've been following it for awhile, and I'm intrigued as to how they'll handle the rather delicate subject matter. Plus it has a big passel of good actors, and an interesting director helming it.

Robots. Love the animation, but man do I hate Halle Berry... Even actors that I don't like on film generally don't annoy me too much with voices. I'm a bit concerned that this may be another Ice Age--amusing, but ultimately forgettable--but the trailer had me cracking up in places.

Some of the Pink Panther movies are classics... others...eh, not so much. Peter Sellers is a hard act to follow, though... it'll be interesting to see how Steve Martin pulls it off.
