Toy Story 3Looks like I will weep for the entire first act. WIN! I will go see this..but not by myself..because..well...a single man going to see an animated movie in a theater full of children could be considered..creepy. haha

Has anyone else seen the trailers for V, the new ABC TV show? I'm not much of a TV fan, but I may watch download and watch the premier to see what it's got goin' on.
(What it's got goin' on besides Morena Baccarin, because we all know that she's already got it goin' on, if you know what I mean).

I watched a short clip just now. I could believe that Morena and her people mean me no harm. but that would probably be a big mistake. =\

Seen before Iron Man 2:
Shrek 4: An alternate timeline? Woo. I stopped watching this series after the first one. Robin Hood: Maybe it's just me, but I remembered Robin and his Men being a lot more Merry, if you know what I mean. Prince of Persia: I didn't even recognize Jake Gyllenhaal at first. He's all growed up. Anyway, movies based on video games fare about as well as video games based on movies: not well. Inception: Apparently once Chris Nolan gets used to an actor, he sticks with him. I thought at first it was a trailer for the next Batman movie. Looks like the Soviet Russia version of Surrogate. Also, apparently DiCaprio didn't even bother to change his hairstyle from the character he played in Shutter Island. The American: Eh. The Last Airbender: I have to stop calling this movie Avatar because that means something different, and apparently this one isn't going the "I had it first!" route. Anyway, I never got into the cartoons, and the previews didn't do anything for me. The twist? That Shyamalan is directing it. A-Team: I feel a woo comin' on. Of course, A-Team without Mr. T? I pity the foo'. Still, I was giggling childishly throughout the whole thing. I think it'll be sort of like the Dukes of Hazzard movie: those who didn't really get into the series will like it, and those who did, won't. I never really watched much A-Team growing up, so if I had maybe I would be harrumphing instead.
(Firefox is totally ok with the word "harrumphing"; I don't know if it's a legit word or I just used it before and added it to the dictionary, but either way it makes me happy)

Shrek 4: An alternate timeline? Woo. I stopped watching this series after the first one. 2 was pretty funny, though the first is pretty much impossible for the series to top. 3 was meh. I'll probably still watch 4. Everything else I watch is apparently set in an alternate timeline, so why not? Robin Hood: Maybe it's just me, but I remembered Robin and his Men being a lot more Merry, if you know what I mean. I was gonna say that this one seemed unnecessary to me so soon after the Kevin Costner version, but I guess it's been 20 years. Still, it seems weird to remake a movie or reboot a series within any span of time shorter than a generation. In other words, my kids (who don't even exist yet) should be roughly as old when the new version comes out as I was when the previous one did. Even though it looks as stupid as every other movie based on an SNL character, I kind of want to see MacGruber. But that depends on how over-the-top it gets with the cartoon violence.

In fairness, though, it was two different movie studios and it's understandable for Marvel to do a reboot to fit Hulk into their shared universe.
Besides, Ang Lee's version was boring as hell.

I'm not saying a reboot was necessarily unwarranted, just that the idea of at most one reboot per generation doesn't take into account our modern culture's attention span.

I know it's not cool to like the Narnia series any more, but the trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader made it look like a delightful way to spend a few hours.

I really like the book, and I think of all the books this one has the most potential to be a fantastic movie. But I just had so much trouble getting excited when I saw the trailer. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Me too. But then, the only Narnia (only C.S. Lewis in fact) book I really enjoyed was A Horse and His Boy.

I was going to leave a comment to the tune of "the film is designed to help audiences get in touch with the true nature of suffering", but I decided it was in bad taste. However, since I suspect the entire movie will be in bad taste, I will go ahead and leave it.

If only there was some kind of workshop for increasing concentration. A place to go for a week, a sort of, "camp," if you will.

Do we even need to see a movie just to see a trailer in this day and age? It should show up everywhere else in due time.

I saw the trailer for "The Change Up" yesterday. Ryan Reynolds, Jason bateman. Basically Freaky Friday made with guys. It looks horrid but not as bad as Jack and Jill, the Adam Sandler manure pile that comes out this fall. Adam plays the guy character AND his twin sister. Yes...it is as bad as it sounds

Saw it because I wanted to see the new Harry Potter movie, so TDKR was a bonus. Good trailer, but reveals almost nothing as most teasers do. I know some crappy cam-shot ones have hit the web.

The ONLY thing that piqued my interest at all was it was filmed in Atlanta. I might catch the $1 Redbox version just to play "look for landmarks I recognize."

I do the same thing when I find out something's been filmed in Hawaii, since I'd waste a lot of money if I did it for stuff filmed in L.A.

The link I posted doesn't look like a shakey cam, just so you all know. It's safe to check out, although it'd probably be more enjoyable in theaters if you're really looking forward to another Spiderman movie.
