As much as I hate to see Bob Dylan get smacked around, I think Rolling Stone's review of Shot of Love is a revealing, insightful look at how the world tends to view Christians. Certain Christians, anyway. Troubling and truely thought-provoking.

Wow, he was sure rough on him.  Since I haven't heard the album, I can't really comment on whether he may be right about the attitude displayed.  I did love Derek Webb's live version of "Every Grain of Sand", so the record can't be a total loss. Wink   Do you think this is Bob at his best, or is there better?

I'm sorry, but Dylan's CCM years were BY FAR his worst.  They're just terrible next to the likes of "Blood on the Tracks", "Highway 61 Revisited", "Blonde on Blonde", or new records like "Love and Theft".

I agree completely with bloop. Dylan's "saved" period SUCKED. Love and Theft is my favorite album by him, but Time Out of Mind, Blood on the Tracks, Oh Mercy, and Highway 61 Revisited are all infinitely better records.
