I was looking at the November issue of Spin Magazine (I got the subscription for free, thankfully), and there was an article about folk music and the recent concert that brought a bunch of them together.  There is about 2 paragraphs about Sufjan Stevens and Iron & Wine.  Nothing earth-shattering, but cool to see them get noticed.  The most important thing, though, was the revelation that Sufjan is currently working on Illinois as his second "state album."

3. Springfield (It's Not Where the Simpsons Live)
4. Ambassador Blues (for the 20,000 Freezing Missionaries in Urbana)
5. 3 A.M. on a Tuesday Morning in Decatur
6. Opera Singers of Shelby County, Unite!
7. Da Bears & Da Bulls
8. O Great Chicago, May I Ask of Thee a Question? (And Another? And Another? And Another?)
9. Another Song About Lake Michigan (Because I Can)
10. Mississippi, Really Long River
11. I Lost My Banjo in East St. Louis
12. Sandwich (Yes, That's Actually a Town)
13. The Lament of Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States of America, Who Lived in a Log Cabin for Several Years of His Life and Helped to Abolish Slavery! (For Real!)
14. Milwaukee (Is Actually in Wisconsin)
15. Troubadors of Greenville College
16. To Those Who Wish that We Did Not Observe Daylight Savings (Like the Smart People in Portions of Indiana)
