I'll be catching them in either Lexington or Atlanta. If anyone else is going to either of those shows then let me know... maybe we can meet up or something.

They stopped in Denver twice last time, so hopefully they'll come around at least once this tour.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

Like we hadn't already programmed the TiVo.

Anyone want to guess what their second song will be?

Any word on dates for this tour yet? Any idea on the setlists? It's a bit awkward to decide to go or not for a fairly new fan like myself - they have a huuuge back catalog compared to most of the other artists i've seen.

I hope their next tour doesn't open with "Vertigo"; that would be waaay to predictable. My vote for tour opener: "Love and Peace or Else." That would be AWESOME.

If they come to Charlotte (they did on the Elevation Tour), I'll probably try to go...if I can afford it!

Saw this at @U2:

Quote
U2 performed five songs live tonight at their Hanover Quay studio: Vertigo, All Because Of You, Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, Beautiful Day. The performance aired live on Radio 1.

So, my guess is that the band will play one of these tracks as their second song on SNL this week. My guess is that it'll be "Vertigo" and "All Because of You," the latter of which is, incidentally, hands-down my least favorite track on the new album.

"All Because of You" is about the midway point for me. I think the stretch between tracks 8 and 10 is inexcusably dull by U2 standards. I'm also not that excited about track 3.

just because i don't want to start another U2 thread:

After listening to a few of their albums again that I don't own, I have to say that Zooropa is probably my least favorite album of theirs ever (with the exception of that track with Johnny Cash and Brian Eno..oh yeah  entitled The Wanderer..) but anyways..I still haven't heard Boy..and probably another one..but overall..i'm even moving Pop ahead of Zooropa..I wanted to stab my eardrums with pencils.

Zooropa is one of those albums that I like to defend just because it's the underdog. It kind of seems like a glorified EP, and it's definitely the weakest of U2's 90's entries, but I think the first half is pretty good, actually. The second half definitely shows us more of what happens when Bono tries do hard, but then, so does about half of my least favorite U2 album, Rattle and Hum. (Though I need to re-listen to Boy before I go ahead and make that claim for sure.)

If I had to rank all of U2's albums right now:

1. Pop
2. The Joshua Tree
3. Achtung Baby
4. War
5. All that You Can't Leave Behind
6. Zooropa
7. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
8. October
9. The Unforgettable Fire
10. Rattle and Hum (don't get me wrong, the studio tracks are largely excellent, but the live stuff totally kills the flow)
N/A: Boy (because I've only listened to it 2 or 3 times, though I'd probably put it towards the bottom)

To be honest, as much as I love U2, I think all of their albums are pretty inconsistent except for the Top 4.
