When Josh or Bethany or someone mentioned Giamatti when talking about Sideways (or that might have been someone at CMC), I recognized the name.  I said "Where have I heard that name and seen him?"  Well duh, he's been in so many movies and I have enjoyed his work.  My favorite films that he has been in are Duets (a surprisingly great movie) and Man On The Moon.  I never realized he played Tony Clifton in MOTM.  Anyways, he has been in TONS of films and is one of the more underappreciated actors out there.  That being said, I have to see Sideways.

Yes, he is indeed an immensely talented actor.

I must confess, though, I'm not sure if I've ever seen him in anything other than Sideways.

Because he is such a great character actor, you might not recognize him.  These are just a few major films he's been in besides the ones I mentioned:

Saving Private Ryan
Paycheck
The Truman Show
The Negotiator
My Best Friend's Wedding
Donnie Brasco

He's slated to be in 5 films coming out this year and in 2006:

Cinderella Man
Robots
The Hawk is Dying
Any Bully
Paper Man

Wow... I don't remember him at all from Truman or Private Ryan. Very skillful indeed...
