We've had a guy at our church from Scotland all this week.  He has been simply fantastic, if you like Christological preaching.

Monday:  Christ in the All of the Scriptures
Tuesday:  Proving the Deity of Christ
Wednesday:  The Lif of Christ (included His incarnation, life, and death)
Thursday:  The Resurrection and Ascension of Christ
Friday:  The Return of Christ (I think he's dealing with the Rapture & Millenium)
Sunday:  The Eternal Glory of Christ (I think that's what he's doing on Sunday)

No, his name is John Grant.

I go to a church called Hickory Gospel Hall.  It is a non-denominational, evangelical church.  We follow the N.T. pattern for a local church.

Ah, I was thinking of another Scottish guy, Ray Comfort.  That series sounds really neat.

Anyways.  That's neat.  I'm at a Church of Christ church up here in MD . . . I love it.  I've been attending it since the Sunday I was born.

Well, Scottish people tend to have good theology-- they're presbyterians, doncha know!-- and this sounds like an excellent series, DGP.

Tell us more about the "Christ in All the Scriptures" sermon. Was that essentially a study of the different OT prophesies that alluded to Christ? Did he discuss messianic Psalms any?

He pulled out various passages in the four major parts of the O.T.:  History (Genesis, mostly), The Law, The Psalms, and the Prophets.  His main point of it all was that Christ wasn't just alluded to in the O.T., but that He was central to the O.T.  He took up prophesy and types.

And, P.S., he isn't Presbyterian.  He's from a similar church that meets in Scotland (non-denominational, evangelical).

I agree with his point! To me, that's one of the most interesting parts of studying the OT.

So I guess I'll forgive him for not being Presbyterian.  Wink
