Anyone pick this up yet and read it?  I just started it tonight and I already agree with everything he's said.  I can't wait to finish this and discuss it with the rest of you.

Jim Wallis has already made me want to understand and get involved in politics after 90 pages or so.  Y'all need to read this if you have not already.

Care to give us a synopsis of Wallis' thesis? What, exactly, is this book all about?

Basically, Wallis is trying to explain how we as evangelical Christians can become involved and passionate about politics without compromising our beliefs and becoming Theocrats (i.e. Falwell and Robertson).  He is very outspoken on the missteps of the Religious Right and gives equal, supported beatdowns to the Left.  It's hard for me to explain right now without finishing the book.  It is a good read and even you would enjoy it Josh.  I would check a few sites that have some reviews about the book.  I think CT did a review as well as Relevant, and some other places.   I have never been a fan of becoming involved and interested in politics, but I had to read this book after seeing some excerpts.
