Damien Jurado

I've been interested in hearing the new album from Damien Jurado, On My Way to Absence. I first heard this guy's music on a mix CD that Jeffrey Overstreet sent me a couple of years ago, and this new album has been getting solid reviews from both AMG and Paste (4 stars out of 5 from both).

And today, I noticed that Pitchfork gave the album a 7.5-- pretty good coming from Pitchfork.

Anyone else heard it yet? Care to pub a song or two, perhaps?

I have not heard it but am a big fan of Damien.  I discovered his music back in 2001.  It's wonderful

i just got my grubby paws on a copy of "On My Way To Absence." so far i really like it, but this doesn't surprise me. Damien Jurado has been on my "must-hear" list for a couple of years. that Rosie Thomas isn't a slouch either. she sounds great as per usual singing with Damien.
