Well, here's what I think needs to happen before we "officially" open this board:
1. The colors need to be changed. I was thinking of having them be similar to those used on the old board, assuming pholks aren't tired of those...
2. We need to change the graphic, particularly the Invision banner at the top of the screen. Both of these tasks are very doable, but I'm not quite sure how to do them at this point. Hopefully Vlad! or I can figure it out; if not, I'll ask Chuck. He says he's glad to help out with those kind of questions.
3. Also, every time I try to upload an avatar from my computer, things go wrong and it never works. This must be remedied.
Hopefully things will be running smoothly around here by this time tomorrow, at the latest. B)

Hopefully things will be running smoothly around here by this time tomorrow, at the latest. B) 1 - Skins & Templates in the Admin CP has the ability for you to add in your own coloring. Uses CSS - some of the header graphics will need to be modified or you would have a dark scheme with bright BLUE header graphics  2 - Top Invision logo is: http://www.thephorum.net/style_images/1/logo.jpg - tottally replaceable, on CMC we simply removed the HTML and incorpirated the remainder of the forum (primarly the output of messages) into the center. 3 - Uploading should now work. But this comes with a warning, this could be dangerous to hosting - I know not all of your visitors are looking to destroy you website / my servers - but at the same time I just say "be careful"  Anywhoo sorry I had to hack my account and get admin access to modify some minor settings to allow uploading to function properly - but you should be good to go, even snagged a few from the old phorum for some of your current users. Hope this helps get you going! |

Heh... nice to see some familiar images from the old Phorum in our gallery. And nice to have the dashing Aragorn for my avatar instead of that ugly guy I was using before...  |

Well, I'm going to go ahead and invite the rest of the Phorum Phamily over here and deal with this stuff later on. Just know, people, that things will eventually look a little more Rebel Basey.  |

You don't have to add it to my profile, I don't think. I think I can do that myself. If you just upload it to the avatar list, I think it will be availbale to everyone. At least, I know that Vlad's duck is there on the list and all, for anyone to use.

Well, messing around with a new phorum would have been way more fun than my business meetings in Chattanooga were, but I got paid for those...
Anyway, once you add me to the admin group I'll see about making those modifications.
DvChWi: Just right-click your old Tux avatar and copy the url, then paste it into the URL box in your avatar setup menu. That way, proboards will provide the storage and bandwidth while you get the benefits (not polite, I know, but hey ^_^)
