I consider myself to be a food connoisseur so I figured, why not have a thread about favorite restaurants?
Here are mine:
Roadhouse Grill Uno Pizzeria Chicago Bar and Grill Macaroni Grill Perkins (for the 24-hr wonderfulness) King's Gourmet Chinese Buffet (in Nashville, TN. Best Chinese restaurant ever!)

Oh man. There's a barbecue joint not far from my house, Red Hot and Blue. I'm not sure if it's a chain or not, but it is awesome. Houston's is another good one, though a couple of their places have been shut down recently . . . not sure why. Olive Garden and Applebee's are both yummy. For a good shake, Sonic and Dairy Queen are the kings. Steak n' Shake is fun every once in a while too. I'm not a huge fast food fan, though. Perkins has awesome pancakes, as does IHOP (duh). LaRosa's pizza = AWESOME.
Oh, and there's a great Mexican place in Cincinnati, right on the river front. It's gorgeous view, and I've completely blanked on the name. I think it's on the Kentucky side on the river . . . I haven't been there since last summer, so my memory is a bit fuzzy (I guess that's Covington?). Anyhow, I like that place partly because we always go there with family we see only twice a year or so . . . and their quesadillas rock!

Although I can be picky at times I am not really a connoisseur. I also don't eat at restaurants very much at all, so my favorites are limited to those I have eaten at, generally chain restaurants.
Best fast-food burger: Steak 'n Shake Best fast-food sub: Subway Best Sandwich: The Reuben at Owens (Blacksburg, VA) Best seafood: Red Lobster Best pizza (diner): Tomato Head Best pizza (delivery): Firehouse Pizza Best lunch on the cheap: McAllister's (downtown Knoxville, TN) Best steak: Texas Steakhouse Best ribs, chicken, and baked potato: Outback Steakhouse Best oriental: Mandarin House Buffet

I don't eat out very often, but here's what I came up with. best pie: Marie Callendar's best tiramisu: California Pizza Kitchen best bread: Red Car Brewery and Restaurant (I've only eaten there once but for some reason their bread left an impression. I should probably go back and see if it lives up to my memory.) best mocha: Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf best smoothie: Jamba Juice best sandwich: Bristol Farms best pastrami chili cheese fries: Tam's best chicken: El Pollo Loco best Chinese food: my dad's restaurant old reliable: Taco Bell. what can I say, I like their tacos and their prices. and one of my co-workers, Charles, makes the best bbq kebabs, and Henry makes the best cheesecake ever. Charles sells the kebabs at a stand somewhere and Henry keeps talking about opening his own restaurant, so that kinda counts, doesn't it?

I think of them more as scones than biscuits, but I'm no culinary wizard. Whatever they are, I have to try not to eat so many of them that I'm too full for the entree

I think of them more as scones than biscuits, but I'm no culinary wizard. Whatever they are, I have to try not to eat so many of them that I'm too full for the entree Once I was absolutely starving for those things, but I didn't have much money, so I went to Red Lobster and just ordered a small side salad, and sat munching on the bread for like an hour. On a related note, there's a Mexican place here in Maryville that has the most addictive chips and salsa in the world, and sometimes I go there with a friend and we order a 2-dollar dessert to split between the two of us, and munch on chips all evening long while we study.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit doing something similar. The Mexican joint by us has the best chips & salsa...but we do at least buy cheese dip (that melted white cheese = Garden of Eden in a bowl). But we split the fajitas and the whole bill ends up being like $10-12 including tax & tip. I feel bad for about a minute...then I just eat more chips.

Man, I love food. I've even toyed with the idea of becoming a chef, but I figure I'll just learn to cook and pay the professionals when I need something special. Anyways, my list: Best Mexican: Either "The Armadillo" or "Hacienda Colorado"(both in Littleton, CO) Best Italian: Romano's in downtown Littleton Best Seafood: Bubba Gump's Shrimp in Monterey, California(mostly for the location. It's by the sea and you can watch sea otters play in the water while you eat. Coolness). Best Chinese: Chef Chu's, Los Altos, CA Best Chinese Buffet: Oriental Super Buffet(I think thats what its called) in Pinellas County, FL. They even have good sushi, typically an item to avoid when you're only paying $7. Best Sushi: Sushi Wave, Parker, CO Best Steak: Hops(chain) Best Thai: Thai Bistro, Littleton, CO Bes Fast Food Burger: Steak and Shake, though we have none in the state of CO. Best Fast Food Mexican: Chipotle Best Fast Food Baja Style Mexican: Either Wahoo's or Baja Fresh Best Fast Food Chicken: Chick-Fil-A, though it does lose some of its appeal after you've worked there for a while. Best Icecream: Good Times(for straight ice cream) and Dairy Queen(for the fancy stuff). Favorite Fast-Casual: Truett's Grill (Yeah... I love just about anything the folks at Chik-fil-a do) What is this Truett's Grill? I work at Chick-Fil-A(note the spelling), and I've never heard of that.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:
Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.
Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
