My man Andree didn't seem to like the new Juliana Theory live disc much. Eh. I'm not much of a fan these days, truth be told, though Emotion has some good songs on it.

Hmm, sounds like it might be worth buying.  I liked Emotion is Dead and Love was OK.  I don't own much live stuff.  Does anyone know if Radiohead's I Might Be Wrong and U2's Under A Blood Red Sky are any good?  What about Jars of Clays fan-club only live release, Stringtown?

Under a Blood Red Sky is great. I like it better than their studio work from that era, truth be told. It's got the three best tracks from War and some other great goodies.

Yeah, I got kind of bored/irritated with it because the band wasn't very consistent tempo-wise (I hate when live bands do that!), and there were way too many songs from Understand This Is a Dream. I didn't enjoy anything on that album besides "Musicbox Superhero", which was the first song I ever heard by the band.

Honestly, the band was much better when I saw them this past March. Though perhaps a live show always sounds better when you're actually there!

Anyway, thanks to Andree, I am now the proud owner of a pre-release that was officially used for the sake of writing a professional review. I am honored.

"Under a Blood Red Sky" is one of the better live albums I have.  It's very good (but I admit I still like "War" a bit more).  This is one of those live albums that you should just get.

"I Might Be Wrong" is good, but truncated.  It seems too short because it is.  Also, much of their work from the Kid A/Amnesiac era is more interesting with everything that they can do in a studio, or some things were just left off altogether i.e. the free-jazz band on National Anthem help that song tremendously and you don't get that on the live version.  You do get that live energy from it, though, so that's good.  I love what they did with "Everything in its Right Place", and the live version of "Like Spinning Plates" is beautiful and un-messy as opposed to the one on Amnesiac.  This is an optional Radiohead CD, not a must-have, but I do enjoy it.

Never heard Juliana Theory's, but I can't say I care that much about that band anyway.
