Loved this movie. I don't usually care much for westerns, but "Maverick" manages to put a new twist on the genre while at the same time spoofing it. Many amusing scenes, lots of clever dialogue...I can't believe I had missed this film until now. Mel Gibson can actually be pretty funny.
The only downside was that the last half hour was a bit drawn out, and a ridiculous amount of twists were thrown in...apparently in an attempt to find an interesting enough ending. Overall, though, a thoroughly enjoyable flick.
