\"There is a connection between the strange providences of God and what we know of Him, and we have to learn to interpret the mysteries of life in the light of our knowledge of God.  Unless we can look the darkest, blackest fact full in the face without damaging God's character, we do not yet know Him.\"

That's funny it said I was Reformed Evangelical.  =D  Considering I'm not a Calvinist I find that funny.  I am definitely Evangelical. Me thinks the person who did this survey doesn't have a great understanding of Evangelicals and the Reformed Church. I honestly don't see how they can go hand in hand (maybe they do in some wierd way  [_[ .)

You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

i'm beginning to wonder about the validity of those quizzes. how could i be strongly Wesleyan in theological worldview and yet be John Calvin if i were a theologian? kind of funny.

but Calvin seems to be a reasonable conclusion for me. i do heavily identify with him. interestingly enough i grew up ADAMANTLY anti-Calvinist.
I took that test and got Anslem. Significance? I have no idea, cause I'd never heard of him before, but I was 100% Anslem. Calvin was right next, which was odd to me, because I disagree with predestination.

I'm southern Baptist but I've never seen a SBC that was calvinistic (just a handful of individuals in the church that I would call Calvinistic.) I'm sure there out there but never been to one.

Actually Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (which is the flagship SBC seminary) is officially Calvinist.

Most churches don't actively comment on where their theology stems from. Most assume 'It's the most biblical' or whatever...but no matter where it comes from (Wesley, Calvin, Luther, Augustine etc etc) they all wrote volumes on their stance and have scripture to back them up...it always cracks me up when one church claims to have the 'whole truth'...sorry...you have one theory and interpretation of the bible...that is it! HA!

This is what I like best about my College...my theology/bible/spirituality profs all come from different traditions and teach the perspective of each tradition, so we get a very well rounded education in different interpretations.
