I just watched this movie, made in 1995, on PAX and it was a pleasure to watch.
They took a stereotypical situation and breathed some realism into the story about a man who lost his wife in childbirth and has to raise the child alone and meets a young woman who becomes his nanny and he falls in love.
I alternately cried and laughed and smiled.
Just a very nice movie.
