I enjoy these guys' music too. Every now and then I need to stretch myself with something that's "out there".

My favorite tracks from Agætis Byrjun are "Ny Batteri", "Staralfur", and "Olsen Olsen". From ( ), I really like tracks 8, 1, and 5.

So, you think they are real artists, rather than a gimmicky band designed to lure in people who want complicated music?

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

I think they're different and interesting. Some critics have gone overboard in labelling them the most original, ethereal, orgasmic sonic experience ever... but I enjoy them, and I don't just throw their name around to increase my "coolness factor" like some critics do.

They're one band I can wholeheartedly believe when they use the whole "Our music means whatever you want it to mean" line. Because I get sick of hearing that from bands who have actual lyrics.

i like them. i can't always listen to them, but when i'm in the mood they're perfect.  i heard that on a few songs the lyrics are actually a language they wrote themselves, not icelandic. weird. i think they toured with radiohead for a while too, what a show that would be!

I like them, and I don't really think they're all that weird...sorrowful, I guess (I don't exactly know the words), and certainly "arty", but not outright weird.  I saw them in concert and they were pretty amazing to watch.
