hey guys...i hope this is where to put this, and i hope people actually see it...i had something happen i've never had to deal with as a youth minister last night/this morning.  i'm going on 4 hours of sleep, so forgive me if this doesn't make as much sense as i hope it does...

last night, one of the girls in my youth group ran away.  i was the one who called her parents on her, she had snuck out, etc, and her sister (2 hours away) was freaking out but couldn't call her parents b/c she was so freaked/frozen, and i have a responsibility anyways to pass on info like that when i know of it.  so, at 2:15 or so in the morning, i called a family i've never met, outside of the two girls, to tell them that they might want to check and see if the younger daughter was there.  she wasn't, and it set into motion a ton of stuff...ultimately, she was found by her dad, a police officer about an hour away, when he actually passed her on the road while out looking for her.  she is safe...but has LOTS of problems to deal with now, and honestly, i have no clue when i would even remotely be able to communicate with her again myself since she will likely have anything and everything taken away from her.  she needs help...and her dad has taken her back into HIS home to try to help her...which is a good thing i think...but it's a messy situation all around.

prayers needed...for her...caitie...for her family...for myself as i try to help in any way that i can and just deal with it myself, and also for me as i try to do 'normal' wednesday night youth stuff with this on my mind.

thanks for listening.

I'll pray for you, Caitie, and everyone affected.
