Yes!  Glad to see a fellow Buechner fan.  I have read a lot of his nonfiction, his memoirs, tell the truth, a room called remember etc.  I was talking to Justin McRoberts about this and I agree that I love the way he presents and communicates his message, his storytelling, and Jesus, Anyway what books have you read by him.  Fiction? Nonfiction?

i've only read wishful thinking (my favorite book in the world) and the book like it, whistling in the dark.  they are both incredible, where he shares his views on all kinds of random things in his signature witty way.  his writing style is so good, he can pack so much insight in just a few words. love it.

seriously, if you like his non-fiction, these are must-reads.

i own tell the truth, but haven't read it yet.  when i get around to it...

I've only read one Buechner book, On the Road with the Archangel. It was an overall-fantastic book, but it fell apart at the end, both storywise and theology-wise. Still a good read, even if it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I really enjoyed that book even though I am not a catholic (neither is buechner) but he is a great storyteller.  I don't think it gets much better than Godric and Brendan and also the son of laughter, the book of bebb and what have you.  Buechner is my favorite "spiritual writer"  Anne Lamott, Henri Nouwen, and Thomas Merton have for the most part not done much for me although Lamott had some good books (is she a feminist?....anyone know?)  i'm trying to get through the brothers karamazov which is an excellent book its just I have trouble reading that big chunk of a thing for very long without falling asleep.
