Close enough. You have a Sound of Music av so I thought maybe you'd get the ray = re reference. Subtract one of the d's from add and you got it.

Either people are stumped on my #1 and #3, or the game's just getting old.

The first one might be somewhat obscure. Think of another word for squre root and you'll probably figure it out.

For the third one, the first picture is peat moss.

Not quite. It's two words, but not necessarily the most common phrase you'd use to describe the city limits. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll figure out Who I'm talking about.

Ha! Pete Townshend! (It only took seven or eight hints for me to get it.)

I kept thinking that was reefers.  haha.  usually, if I can get part of it, I can think up the rest, but that one was quite clever.  wow.

Yeah, when I came up with that what, I forgot about the "h" in "Townshend" (is it still pronounced "Town's End"?), so maybe that's what threw people off.

I've always pronounced it that way, but for all I know that's wrong. I love The Who, but have had very few occasions to say Pete Townshend's name out loud.

As far as I know it's right.  That's how everyone I know has always said it, anyhow.

Here's another one... this person might be more famous for something other than music, but he/she was in the music business before becoming well-known for something else.

Minnie Driver is the first thing that comes to mind.

Yeah, I heard about it a few months ago. Her singing voice is actually quite nice.
