I'm somewhat surprised that nobody has mentioned this album yet, which released yesterday.  I think that Pitchfork has a pretty good review of the album.  This is just gorgeous pop music.  I would think that anybody who likes The Shins would enjoy this album.  I keep hearing a lot of similarities between the two...fun songs with nice harmonies.  Lead singer Stuart Murdoch has a lot of James Mercer (of The Shins) and a little Kevin Max in his voice.  Very nice pop album.

B&S have been a favorite of mine for a long time.  The Boy With The Arab Strap is an absolutely beautiful album.  Must listen to that.
