I've got the first season ordered through the library, just waiting for it to come in so I can watch it. I'm gonna try to watch this new season anyway.

There is a longer list of these, but my local paper listed the top 10 Jack Bauer "facts." Pretty funny.
When Jack Bauer was a kid, he made his mother finish his vegetables. If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life. You can lead a horse to water. Jack Bauer can make him drink. When Google can't find something, it asks Jack Bauer for help. When the boogie man goes to sleep, he checks his closet for Jack Bauer. In 96 hours, Jack Bauer has killed 93 people and saved the world four times. What have you done with your life? Jack Bauer played Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun -- and won. Upon hearing that he was played by Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer killed Sutherland. Jack Bauer gets played by no man. Jack Bauer won the Tour de France on a unicycle to prove to Lance Armstrong it wasn't a big deal. Jack Bauer can get McDonald's breakfast AFTER 10:30.

I think Tony's the one who won't survive the next hour, though. He seems like the logical one to sacrifice himself, as forshadowed. Poor Edgar.

I read these recent posts before catching up with the recent episodes. oh well. poor Edgar. the one girl's name was Carrie. Pres. Logan is so! annoying! but this was the first time I've thought Audrey was actually not-useless.

I think Tony's the one who won't survive the next hour, though. He seems like the logical one to sacrifice himself, as forshadowed. First of all, I forgot to mention that I wasn't a fan of how Tony was written out. It just seemed kind of lame when he was once so important to the show. Now, last night's episode. *SPOILER ALERT* (see, I've learned my lesson)- - - - - Audrey???? Are you SERIOUS???? I guess she did have a score to settle because of Paul, but MAN, I did not see that coming. And, was I hallucinating, or was it, in fact, Aaron that says "Is Wayne Palmer dead?" in next week's episode? Please don't tell me he's bad, because I always liked that guy. - - - - - *END SPOILERS*Anyway, a fantastic episode. Could have been the best of the season.

Loved last night's episode, I was on the edge of my seat. Probably would have been more comfortable if I'd moved back, but anyway.
Watching the third season now, and man, I'm loving it too.

I wouldn't call it the best of the season, by a long shot. Most of the episode was just setting things up for future episodes. But the ending, yeah, that was killer. I had no idea that was coming, at all. I'm still not sure if I belive it's true, because it seems so inconsistant w/ her character, but I guess anything's possible with this show. Poor Wayne. I hope he's okay. I don't think Aaron's bad - it's the VP who knew and called for the hit imho.
Forgettable episode, but killer ending.

i thought tonight's episode was great. The interrogation of audrey was suspenseful and realistic i thought. I'm anxious to see how things pan out next episode and what kind of twist the end of this season has in store.

Well, I did not see that one coming, either.
*SPOILER ALERT* - - - I was pretty certain it wasn't the VP, because '24' never sets you up in such an obvious way like that. I had half-way wondered if it was Mike Novick, but I never thought it was Logan. He just doesn't seem to have the balls to do anything like this. But I guess that was his ploy all along. - - - *END SPOILER...AND POST...*

I couldn't figure out why Jack didn't just play a bit of it over the phone so Karen could at least "hear this evidence".
is it bad of me to be disappointed that certain characters didn't die? I hate Audrey and don't care about her daddy. why did they live and so many other characters I do care about die? boo! I wanted evil Logan to kill himself, too. and Wormtongue had better be killed by somebody. Karen maybe. that would be good.

Audrey has really redeemed herself this season, at least to me. Wormtongue. LTMS. I love it.

well, earlier I thought Audrey was not totally useless (now I forgot why), but it was her fault that Jack "lost" the recording. and the way she continued to boss Jack really annoyed me. "you can't let him do this!" "don't do this!" "kill him!" "Jack, go!" "Jack, wait! make sure you get that recording!!" gah. I usually don't yell "shut up!" at the tv, but that one ep in which she got her pretty white coat bloodied was so maddening.

Wormtongue. Does anyone else get the feeling this is going to be a cliffhanger type of season? Or at least have some element of it carry over into next season? I mean, with only three hours left, there is no recording and Bierko has escaped. Can they really resolve everything in three hours? Jack Bauer may have to bring in Chuck Norris for backup.

Eh, wasn't the greatest episode last night, but I'm still really excited about the finale next week.
This episode did, however, feature would could be the greatest line in the history of the show:
Aaron Pierce - "Is there anything else....Charles?" PRICELESS!!!!!

Fox is replaying the entire season/day this summer on Friday nights, with back to back episodes running for 12 weeks. So if you missed it now you can catch up.

I was on edge for the last 15 minutes, and then the bomb went off and they said there were 4 more out there. This is going to be a good season.

A lot of the dialogue felt repetitious and the acting and story do not seem as kinetic, but I still thought it was pretty good. Hopefully things will pick up as the season goes along.

Great episode overall - Jack plastic-bagging his own brother?? We know he's right, but, man...that's different! A few nitpicks, though:
1. Okay, so a nuke exploded. However, CTU has no problem getting a unit over to pick up Jack in about 6 minutes if I watched the timetable correctly. I guess traffic was lighter than one would expect follow a nuclear explosion.
2. Regina King as Sandra Palmer is nearly unwatchable. I have the intense desire to smack her every single time she appears on the screen.

if the traffic were in real time, that would be most of the show. the father and brother thing made me think "oh no, 24 has gone Alias on us". and then of course eville Dietrich Bonhoeffer-looking dude is the brother. the no-more-freedoms dude reminds me a lot of the Wormtongue dude from the last season. he has terrible advice, too. whatever happened to old Wormtongue anyway? I remember wanting Karen to kill him. and all she did was slap him. ditto everything about Regina King. so pointless and awful. oh yeah, I had a "what tv universe am I" moment when eville brother's wife appeared on screen. she's the wife of Nathan Petrelli. (Heroes)

Quite an episode last night. The acting sequences featuring Jack, Graem, and Philip Bauer were some of the best of the whole series, in my opinion. So many twists and turns in just ONE HOUR! I'm so happy that we get two hours next week. Can't freakin' wait.
