just thought it might be fun to have an ongoing thread for posting whatever random songs we're listening to right at the moment. you can just post the title of the song or add a bit of the lyrics, whatever you want.

I'm listening to a song called Not Tonight by the band I Am The Eagle, which had a couple of my friends in it, but they broke up after one album.

Nina Simone Sings the Blues, the whole album.  Man, this is a classic.  The one thing that cracks me up, though?  She sounds like a man.

a few new Radiohead bootleg songs.  I'm not gathering, well, anything of an overall direction for the next album from them.  Perhaps an entire concert would be more telling.

"Resplendent" Vigilantes of Love w/Emmylou Harris from the album "Audible Sigh"

i've recently acquired some of V.O.L.'s older material. wow, this is good stuff! i highly recommend them to fans of americana/alt. country/folk rock. Bill Mallonee's solo output isn't half bad either.

I'm glad he didn't abandon his hip-hop sensibilities on this album.  I like it quite a bit.

I agree. Its pretty poppy too, and even though I don't really like hip-hop, I like the album. He even made it to number one on my weekly artist chart on last.fm the week I got it Wink

i just discovered her music. to me she sounds like Over the Rhine meets Hem with a bossa nova twist and a shake of Jeff Buckley.
