So...less than a month away. I remember when X2 came out how, even though it was the middle of exam week, I took the bus out to Christiansburg to see it at the only theater in a 50-km radius (if you ignore the indie Lyric theater). With the loss of Brian Singer I'm a little worried, but hopefully Ratner will be smart enough to not let Halle Berry talk. Anyone else excited?

Very excited, though I share your skepticism about the new director. (His resume includes... Money Talks and the Rush Hour films?!?) The trailer looks like it's got plenty of dramatic moments and memorable scenes; let's just hope Ratner can piece those together into a powerful narrative.

I'm looking forward to it too. haven't checked the latest trailers and stuff yet but yeah. if there will be a midnight showing nearby I will probably try to catch that.

<- I changed my avatar to reflect my lookingforwardness.

Hmm...can't figure out how to make the words "Too late" link to the site. Oh well.

Anyway, no Gambit = Not as good as it could have been.

i'm looking forward to it as well. and i share the new director trepidation. switching directors each movie would be one thing. but we've gotten used to Bryan Singer's style. and Singer has proven he knows where to take the X-Men. but i'm still cautiously optimistic about III.

hey, at the very least i'm hoping to see Wolverine REALLY go postal. and of course Phoenix has much potential to seriously rock.

Sir Ian McKellan sounds encouraging-- both concerning X3 and the Magneto prequel-- in this interview.

That is indeed encouraging, but that was also one of the worst-written articles I have ever read. 90% of what I write about movies is utter crap, but at least I know the difference between your and you're, so I can at least sound like I know what I'm talking about.

digging up this old thread...

I netflixed the dvd, mainly because I wanted to get a closer look at the green sweater Rogue wears at the very end. turns out there is an alternate ending for her return and it is so much better. they should have kept that one. I will pretend they did.
