Just thought you all might enjoy knowing, I got engaged last night! Which means that next summer I get to marry my best friend/the most beautiful man I've ever laid eyes on. Just to give you an idea of how cool he is, he made a mix of songs to listen to in the car as we drove from where he proposed to a friend's house to celebrate with champagne, and the mix had Over the Rhine, Radiohead, Rocky Votolato, Waterdeep, and Derek Webb on it, among others. He's a keeper. Smiley

I want to say the quote is from Pride and Prejudice, but then, I'm not certain.

Congratulations, bethany!

Two weeks ago, I arrived at our church's evening worship service and saw that the sermon title was "Whom Should I Marry?" When Pastor Rankin walked into the sanctuary I greeted him, and told him that I was expecting a specific name and phone number. He laughed, and even used my joke in his sermon, but alas! I went home without anything very specific. The next day, however, I received an e-mail from him with... um, a woman's name, a mailing address, and an e-mail address. Still a little baffled by that one!

Anyway, um... I, uh, don't know where I was going with that. But I'm pretty sure the sermon said something about marrying someone who makes mix CDs with OtR and Radiohead songs. Congratulations again, bethany!
