Alright, I'm just about going nuts.  There have been forest fires raging like crazy in my province, but they're getting worse.  On top of that, the camp my boyfriend is working at has been put on evacuation notice - the fires are only a couple kilometers away from them.  The rest of my family is visiting my grandpa (who is going through radiation treatments, another cause of worry...) in Kelowna - which has also been put on evacuation notice.  So, I'm all alone up here, and basically every person I'm close to is near all the fires.  If you could maybe send up a prayer for all of them, I'd really appreciate it.

Oh, and if you want to read a news story on the fires, go here.

Sure thing, I'm here, so have no fear...but seriously, you and your close ones are on my list.

Thanks, you guys.

I talked to my family yesterday, and they've left Kelowna.  It was too smokey and they found it hard to breathe.  My grandpa is still there, though.  Last night 25 houses were destroyed when the fire jumped unexpectedly.  They were really nice, expensive houses too.  And 10,000 people have been evacuated.

My boyfriend called me, too, and he said the fire is 5km away, and they're still on evacuation alert, but the fire around there seems to be slowing down.  He's coming home Sunday anyway.

I just hope it starts raining soon, because they're having a really hard time controlling these fires.
