Clue time:
Go ahead, make me feel stupid.
1. This band is the sound an owl makes, and I think Nissan used this song in a commercial several months ago.
The Who. I only have
Quadrophenia so far, so I can't pick individual songs too well...
10. This band named themselves after a sex toy (eep); this song is a cross between Wake Forest's mascot and a New Orleans style of music.
Sex Pistols?
11. "out of my brain on the train!" Same band as number one, but this time they're keeping careful time.
Oh shit - did I just miss 5:15 by the Who? I love that song too...
19. This band named themselves after a city. The song is longing after a cliched phrase meaning satisfaction and calmness of mind.
Is that Boston's "Peace of Mind"? The opening track from the self-titled? I should feel dumb for missing that one if it is.
20. She was a member of Fleetwood Mac and was coked out of her mind at this point in her career--back off!
I'll guess Stevie Nicks, but I don't know her solo stuff at all.
21. Same band as one, eleven, and seventeen; one of the CSI theme songs (Thursday).
The Who did a song for CSI? Gosh, I bet that's why they wanted to die before they got old.
23. Not America, Europe, Australia, Antarctica, Africa, or South America, but ____. They were caught up in the warmth of the minute. (haha, what a crappy clue.)
Asia.
25. Same band as 1, 11, 17, and 21; from a famed rock opera from 1969.
1969...would that be Tommy?
26. The band of the rotating frontman and cheesy synthesizers in the late 80s (wasn't that everybody? ba dum shish) and a band named after one of the guitar gods of the late 70s/80s. Umm . . . this thoroughfare is cruel.
The "guitar gods" clue leads me to Van Halen. I've been meaning to check out some more of their stuff, but never gotten to it.
28. Chick fronted band with a chick guitarist; sisters; sharks.
Eisley?
