28. Jars of Clay - The Eleventh Hour?
Artist is correct. Song is not.

Murlough, you were wrong about Delirious songs being easy. Look at my thread like this again and see if you can spot the Delirious track. Weren't we supposed to skip the first line if it had the title in it? Um... no. I haven't been, which is why some of mine were ridiculously easy.

Now that it's been more than 24 hours since I first posted this, it's hint time.
1. This singer had a baby last year. Now she has teamed up with another singer-songwriter, and they are both standing still and looking pretty.
4. This Christian rock band is named after a special occasion in two peoples' lives, although you are highly unlikely to hear their music during that occasion.
5. This now-defunct band was led by a former member of Five Iron Frenzy. They are also a brightly-colored unit of time.
6. Don't confuse this band for the athletic teams at the University of Kansas.
7. This popular Christian band recently released a "B" version of one of their most popular albums.
9. (I figured this one would be hard.) This was a top 20 hit on Christian rock radio for an indie rock band. The title could be a salutation for someone without a unique moniker.
12. This song is by a popular Christian R&B trio consisting of three sisters, and it is on the same album that contained the song that made me "disown" them.
13. Two members of this now-defunct band lost a brother in Iraq a few years ago, and this song is from an album released shortly after that happened.
14. This Florida band announced a few months ago that they are calling it quits this year. They could also be a permanent alteration.
24. A few months ago this South African band was interviewed by Christianity Today about the state of modern worship music.

David Crowder Band, "A Beautiful Collision" (I thought that was "the heart breaking makes a sound", but maybe my brain inserted that word".)
Now that you mention it, there may have actually been something before "breaking." It could just be that as I was typing the lyric out, I could have accidentally skipped over that word, something that I do more often than I'd like to admit. Regardless, you got it right.

I actually looked up lyrics online for songs I didn't know well and was possibly mishearing.
...and how long did that take? I'd imagine that going with the first thing we thought we heard clearly took about 20 seconds a song - which already nears 10 minutes to do this. Did anyone else here make an answer key? I was worried about forgetting what a lot of the songs were (I've gotten quite terrible with lyrics over the past year or so...)

Only a few extra seconds for certain songs, if you know where to go. Plus, when songs had long intros, I just used the handy arrow key to jump 5 seconds at a time in WinAmp until I found words. Did anyone else here make an answer key? I was worried about forgetting what a lot of the songs were (I've gotten quite terrible with lyrics over the past year or so...) WinAmp's "Recently Played" list took care of that for me, because there were a few things that popped up from albums I hadn't listened to much.

It doesn't look like there are going to be any other guesses here, so time to reveal the answers to the ones nobody got:
1. "If Only She Knew" by Michelle Branch
5. "Plume" by Yellow Second
6. "Somewhere in Ohio" by The Jayhawks
9. "Dearest Nameless" by Kingsdown
13. "Plan to Pull Through" by Bleach
14. "Great Divide" by Forever Changed
