So I let a "christian" friend know I was beginning to write some songs of my own.  And his response was "I can't see you as a songwriter, that's as absurd as arnold running for office plus other cheap shots. Thats  bad but he doesn't really know me and spends all his nights listening to "gospel gangstaz" and "supertones"  This was probably the wrong area to write about this.  Just feel frustrated, not with the fact about my songwriting but by this holier than thou attitude that seems to permeate so much.....The attitude that I experience at church on sunday that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  I probably need to loosen up or whatever but I believe the words that are spoken at church by christians either heal or they cut, and this time they cut and when I tried to explain this to him in probably too kind of a way he hung up on me.
