I'm relying on the kindness of a few phorum members here.  My tale, in a nutshell, is that my car was broken into and my CD portfolio with about 25 Cd's or so was stolen.  Frankly, I'm OK with missing some of the CD's that I didn't listen to much, but the two that I'm missing most are Sufjan Stevens Illinois and Over the Rhine's Drunkard's Prayer.  Would anybody be willing to get me a copy of these CDs?  Usually I don't download or copy music, but these are special circumstances if ever there were special circumstances.  I'd rather not have to spend the money again to buy music I already had.  I'm not sure at all what the best way to handle this is, so I'm open to suggestions.  Thanks in advance for the kindness of the phorum members.

I have Illinois.  PM me.

Oh, and if any has a copy of Jars of Clay's Who We Are Instead, I need a good copy of that one.  I own it, it's skipping on certain tracks (and uncopyable on others), and I can't get it to stop doing that.  I used my little disc doctor thing, but to no avail.  I looked it up with my local library - no luck.  :-(

(I talked to Josh about this one earlier.  Turns out tracks 6-9 and 13 all copy with errors on Exact Audio Copy, so I'd feel bad asking you to flac all of that)

Bloop, my brother has that CD. If you don't get it by the next time I see him, I'll borrow it and make you a copy.

hmm...I have WWAI.   I've never noticed any errors when I ripped it, but then maybe i wasn't paying attention.   But yeah,  i'd be glad to give you a copy if you'd like.   I dont really know how to do .flac but i'm willing to try it if you can advise on that.     anyways,  someone more informed may wish to take you up on this, but if you want a copy  i'm willing to help.   happy

As to Bebop,  hey sorry about the breakin.  :/   Do let us know if there's other stuff you're missing.   If I can help I will.

I didn't buy WWAI with errors, to the best of my knowledge.  It played perfectly and I think I ripped it to listen to on my computer without the disc.  The only thing about flac files is that they would take up some pretty significant space (usually around 2/3 of the uncompressed wav's file size, but that ratio can be higher or lower depending).

What do you think of doing a B+P so you don't have to mess with flacs at all?
