Ok, I'll give some hints before I give everyone the answers.
1. This song is fairly obscure, but two versions were featured prominently on a recent movie soundtrack. One of the artists had a name that could be a shortened version of "Hallelujah".
5. Attractive women want to avoid this taxi
6. A very literate band whose name is a reference to a historical group of people
7. I will have to check because I don't remember this song myself. Suffice to say I am not familier with it.
8. He is famous for his religion, and his reggae
10. He released a new album with a spiritual reccurance in it's title which Josh gave a very good review
11. This band claims to be better than a minor prophet
14. Napoleon's buddy as king of beasts.
16. He flies, and this was from a watery cd with a band with hot dishes in their name.
17. No, seriously, that's one of the main lyrics to this song by a band that has finally cured their insomnia.
18. Lesser known CCM artist who mainly does piano based folk/pop.
20. Same artist as 10. Josh should know this one.
21. Josh should REALLY know this one, he adores the cd.
23. Same artist as 17.
24. This band was compared to Tom Waits and their name is the future sense of "boy boy".
26. "not quite as strong as", and they're building again.
28. This guy is revered as a god by some. He just released a new album. This song refers to zephyrs that are below average intelligence.
29. Sing, oh *band name here*.
30. This guy has a name with something time never does for any man. The song is actually not there.

I don't know the songs, but maybe if I name the artists it'll jog someone else's memory. 5. Attractive women want to avoid this taxi Death Cab for Cutie 6. A very literate band whose name is a reference to a historical group of people Presidents of the United States of America? 8. He is famous for his religion, and his reggae Matisyahu, but it's not a song I recognize so I'm guessing it's from his first album or the live album. 11. This band claims to be better than a minor prophet Better than Ezra 14. Napoleon's buddy as king of beasts. Pedro the Lion 17. No, seriously, that's one of the main lyrics to this song by a band that has finally cured their insomnia. Sleeping at Last... I should know this one! AAARGH! Must be from Capture, 'cause I can't place it. 23. Same artist as 17. Sleeping at Last, "Dreamlife". I'm ashamed of myself for needing a hint; that's one of my favorite songs of theirs. 26. "not quite as strong as", and they're building again. The Weakerthans? 30. This guy has a name with something time never does for any man. The song is actually not there. Tom Waits.

not sure about the artist, but are the following lines of #18 "my rising soul surveys / transported with the view I'm lost / in wonder, love, and praise"?
this clue intrigues me: 30. This guy has a name with something time never does for any man. The song is actually not there.
I'm not familiar with the song but am guessing that the artist is Tom Waits. "The song is actually not there" completely baffles me.

Presidents of the United States of America?
Matisyahu, but it's not a song I recognize so I'm guessing it's from his first album or the live album.
Sleeping at Last... I should know this one! AAARGH! Must be from Capture, 'cause I can't place it.
Sleeping at Last, "Dreamlife". I'm ashamed of myself for needing a hint; that's one of my favorite songs of theirs.
I'll do it this was because I'm lazy. 1. No, you actually had a complaint about this band's lead singer that lead to Smashing Pumpkin jokes. 2. Yes, and actually, it is from Youth. At least, that's what my mp3 says 3. Indeed, it is. 4. Yup. Is the last word of that line, "rest"? not sure about the artist, but are the following lines of #18 "my rising soul surveys / transported with the view I'm lost / in wonder, love, and praise"?
