It's gonna be interesting to see what this means for the racetrack I work for. I mean, I bus tables, so I don't get affected too much, but they're gonna be racing until the end of November.

I went to Boston for Fall Break last year, and it snowed while I was there. It was a couple weeks after October 12th, but that was my basic reaction too. I mean, it was fall break.
Does this mean I can still say I've never been to Boston in the fall?

> Does this mean I can still say I've never been to Boston in the fall? Nice VeggieTales reference The Google weather gadget says that it's 0C here today. I think I'm going to be driving to work (as opposed to biking) this morning O_o.

If you don’t have freedom as a principle, you can never see a reason not to make an exception. There are constantly going to be times when for one reason or another there’s some practical convenience in making an exception. rms

Uh, well, it frosted in NC twice over the weekend. Is that a valid use of a verb? Anyway, it's a bit early for that around here.

Yeah, you can say 'frosted'. Actually, it's a fairly common usage, though I imagine you don't use it much in NC
