While there are some features I find vast improvements in the Phorum (such as the nice URL) there are others that are about to kill me. How do you read the topics? (I have the text magnified to 150% because the colors are so strange) Can those buttons be changed? (they don't really fit with the design) Most importantly can you get some kind of banner going or replace the current one? Like I said I am enjoying the lack of ads and new features (like upload images), but if you want help redoing the buttons (if possible); I am here for you.

The buttons, colors, and banner are all in the process of being redone. Vlad! has been kind enough to work on fixing those. So be patient, my young Padawan... all will be better in a short while.

If you would bother to read any of my posts in the off-topic board, you would see that (as Josh points out) this is still a project under development. The graphics certainly don't fit with the design, and they're going to be fixed.

As for the topics, what colors do you find to be strange? I'm running at 1280x960 resolution, but I can still read them just fine. The background colors will probably be changed at some point, but I don't think anyone's mentioned the topics as being hard to read...

calm Vlad!, I meant no offense. I am upset that this means I won't get to make any images. I can't easily read the orange on light grey. (which includes topics and quotes) I am 1024x768 on a 15" screen. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something to do with the CSS.

and reading other posts, sorry, some of us can't spend all day posting (and reading) and posting...

I doubt it's the CSS's fault (unless the Macintosh implements it badly). It isn't the easiest to see, but it's not too hard. I'll mess with it soon.

What's the verdict? Easier to see?

The only thing even slightly bothering me about the site is the blue buttons.  Everything else is top notch.  Thanks for all the work you have done to get it that way.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

The buttons don't bother me as much as the little IPB icons beside the various boards on the main page, but you're probably going to be getting to those soon, eh Vlad!?

But yeah, I agree that the Phorum looks first-rate, and your work is greatly appreciated!

Yes, I hadn't noticed, but it looks like you made the background darker and it definitely increases readability.

I am using IE5 for mac. In CSS a lot of difference is made in how you define the text size. (whether by point or pixel) I know I have made fonts look real good on my computer then I take a look on a PC and it looks horrible.

I use pixel, because that's the default standard for the board. If you want to take a gander at the CSS code, it's just appended to the top of the source file, so saying "View Source" on any phorum page will let you check it out...

I'm glad you guys are digging it. My major project for tomorrow is getting those buttons done, because I admit they don't blend all that well with the decor. BigBird also might be working on some buttons, so if he gets them done I might give you guys a choice (unless his are so much better than mine I just use his Wink)
