Nothing at all. And, to be technical, it belongs to my husband (as do all the legal documents). But since we're married, it's mine, too. Mwahahaha.

I snagged it from a BSG icon livejournal. I love Pres. Roslin. and I love red hair. =) I love kittyfroggies too but it gets frustrating to me when I can't actually pick them up and cuddle them.

Burt's Bees Citrus Spice soap. strangely addicting. I'm not sure if I will even use it, just keep it around to smell.
and a t-shirt with the Peanuts gang dressed for Halloween. Charlie Brown wearing a pirate hat amuses me just right.

Yay! Pirate hats are fun. I tried to con my sister into buying me one but she wasn't having any of that I have acquired a strong dislike for 30 plus degree weather. I think 30 Celcius equated to something like 97.77777 degrees Fahrenheit. Though there may be a seven more or less. Here I am just under the tropical belt which is rather unpleasant for some one who used to live south of Christchurch, NZ. Christchurch is not the international gateway to Antarctica for no reason. I miss the cold

Eh, your math is a bit off. 30 C is 86 F (and it's spelled Celsius, with an s).
To get Fahrenheit from Celsius, multiply by 1.8 and add 32. I find it's easier to multiply by .8 and add it to the original number (30 * .8 = 24, 30 + 24 + 32 = 86).
However, I do agree that 30 is too hot. It was in the 30s around here a couple weeks ago, but thankfully it's cooled off a bit--the high was 26 today.

I like to be annoying and spell and pronounce it Celkius. there's another word that I've seen misspelled with a c so I pronounce it with a k but I forgot what it was. responkable. I acquired a new hoodie. it was on sale. but it was still expensive. it is lined in supercushy fleece. I am leaving it wrapped up in tissue and in its fancy shopping bag with the receipt in a separate little envelope in case the price goes down some more. then I will return it and buy it again for less money. bah, that is annoying. it makes me an annoying customer. maybe I won't do that. there has to be a limit to how annoying I let myself be. hasn't there?

Early birthday presents:
coupe of dress shirts and ties for work, a new Georgia hat (had good mojo for the Vandy game!), a 19-inch LCD monitor for the home computer and some nice bookends for our bookcase.
More to come later this week....

I'll settle for teaching you when to use 'to' and when to use 'too' (hint: you used it wrong above).
So you mean you plugged 30 C into some electronic device and it gave you not only the wrong answer but the wrong spelling? Man, talk about incredible amounts of failure.

I bought a Nerf Maverick for some office warfare. Of course, the first thing I did is mod it so that the darts shoot harder/further and so that the chamber ejects further out and spins like a real revolver (necessary for looking like a badass, or at least as much of a badass as you can look like when you're wielding a nerf gun...). We take our nerf warfare seriously. One of my co-workers even has a usb-powered nerf missile launcher. And of course we hack our nerf weapons so they have enough power to shoot all the way across the building.

A couch.
Yes, I did buy it from someone who listed it on Craigslist, but it was a good deal and turned out OK. Except that there are probably people right now telling their families about a crazy guy in a van with twenty inches of couch sticking out of his tailgate barreling down I-40 XD

I acquired my first Wii game: Fire Emblem: Goddess ofRadiant Dawn[1]. This is, of course, before I have actually acquired a Wii[2], but since the game was free then I figured I would just save it for later when I have the console (and a TV, which I also lack). [1] Was the title "Goddess of Dawn" deemed too offensive for a religiously conservative America? [2] No crude jokes, please.

Heh, a funny story, that. I don't remember how much of the original story got told, but short recap, I was going to take a friend to the Nissan place to pick up his vehicle when the battery died in my van (also a Nissan). Since we were there anyway, I got them to look at it. They called me several hours later and gave me a laundry list of stuff that was broken, the crown jewel of which was a gas leak that would take around a thousand bucks to fix. I took it up to AAMCO to get a second quote on what it would take to fix it. They looked at it for all that afternoon and the next morning, and the guy said that they couldn't find a gas leak anywhere. I think he didn't believe me at first that there even was one, but I showed him the Nissan paperwork where the mechanic had written "unsafe to drive; might explode" so he took another look up on the lift but still found nothing. I thanked him and drove off. Since then, the van has made several long trips and has gained about two thousand miles, at least, and hasn't exploded. Also, the AAMCO guys didn't charge me anything for their diagnostic work, so I'll put in a plug for them. I doubt the Nissan people would blatantly lie to me about something like that, but they did tell my friend that the problem with his Altima was an after-market air filter he had installed on it and charged him an arm and a leg to replace it, when clearly the problem was really with the engine, but since they lose money off of warranty claims and the engine was covered under warranty, they had to charge him somehow. Anyway, I know where to go (and where not to go) when the inevitable death of the van does arrive. A bit of an anti-climax, which is why I didn't mention anything.

^ heh. I actually replyed to that a month or so ago. But Library computers are lame. We went shopping at Big W today and bought 29 pairs of shoes. All exept two pairs had been marked down to $1, the two being $5. Now we gotta figure out how to drive around for another five or so hours with five kids, two adults, A large shopping bag rather full of shoes and one uncompromising weelchair. (My mum started parking in the taxi stands. The cops take one look inside and drop it.) My dad's gonna have a fit when we pick him up. Serves him right for having six daughters

Acquired my tax refund already today. I had to worry about taxes not at all, and it cost me not a cent. Having an accountant for a father is a wonderful thing.
Also, my tax refund was more than my paycheck is for. How does the gummint fail so bad at estimating my taxes?

...was that in reference to something, or just a non sequitur? This isn't the Random Bobservation thread, ya know. I think she means she acquired a new friend (this is the off-topic things acquired thread, after all). Yeah, you probably wouldn't, since it's the Sears Tower, not Sears. I was thinking that but wasn't going to say it. Wait, weren't you supposed to be the good angel?
