I was at a resteraunt. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but I don't think the waitress understood me. Cuz she said "how would you like your eggs?". So I tried to answer her anyhow, I said incubated, and then raised, and then beheaded, and then plucked, and then cut up, and then put on a grill, and then put on to a bun. Damn, it's gonna take a while! I don't have time - scrambled! -- Mitch Hedberg

well, man, i HUGELY appreciate that. unfortunately, much to my chagrin, i know NONE of the answers. AARGH.

i'm finding a lot of the people are this board have much more eclectic tastes than mine. i listen to more mainstream & CCM alternative, with a bunch of older stuff too. Rokran should do one... if i remember right from my time on this phorum years ago, he was more mainstream (i.e., worshipper of Linkin Park).

Hint time!  It looks like I'm going to have to give a lot of hints too, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

1.  This critically-acclaimed Christian alternative rock band recently overhauled their lineup, and now have a CD coming out later this year.

2.  This trio of brothers from Canada are best known for making teen pop music, although this particular song was one of the heavier ones musically.  Jake - still need song

4.  This Indiana rock & roll band had one of the most critically-acclaimed Christian rock CDs of this past year, even though they are on a Mainstream label now.

5.  This is a hidden track from a Canadian Christian folk-pop singer whom I really like.

7.  This female singer first burst onto the CCM stage as a teenager.  She got married three years ago, and left her record label last year.

8.  This female Mainstream singer/songwriter released an album last year that was a favorite of a lot of Phorumers.

9.  The guy pictured in my avatar sings this song.

10.  This song is a duet between the Professional Rapper, and a South African singer who is married to one of the most popular (and most overplayed) Christian singers.

11.  This is the title track from the most recent CD of a female Christian singer/songwriter who now resides in Minnesota.

12.  This is from a new band fronted by one of the most popular producers in Christian Rock.

13.  This four-man Mainstream group described themselves as Acoustic Rock with a bit of soul.  They had a few minor radio hits in the late '90's, although this song was a non-single.

14.  This is from one of the dc Talk solo projects.  This is from the artist's first album, which was much better than the second.

15.  This is from a heavily reviled artist (and rightfully so), although I've admitted they can be a guilty pleasure of mine sometimes.

16.  This is from the most recent CD of a critically-acclaimed Canadian Christian pop/rock band.

17.  This is from the National debut CD of a former drug dealer who became Christian singer/songwriter.

18.  This is an older song from a popular operatic pop singer.  Josh Groban - still need song

21.  This longtime Mainstream pop/rock singer currently has one of his songs played in GMC Truck commercials.  This is one of his radio singles from the late '90's.

22.  This is from the self-titled CD of a teen female folk/pop singer from Ohio who drew some comparisons to the artist at #5.

23.  This was a radio single from a then-teen female Mainstream pop/rock singer who is now part of one of the hottest new Country duos.

25.  This Christian folk-pop singer used to be label-mates with Jars of Clay and Caedmon's Call.  He went independent a few years ago and is now part of the Square Peg Alliance.

26.  Same artist as #25, but from a different album.

27.  This is a hidden track from the same artist at #16.

28.  This is a non-single from a Christian Celtic punk-rock band.  Flatfoot 56 - still need song

29.  This Christian rock trio is notorious for breaking up and then getting back together and then breaking up again.

30.  A very old song from the same artist at #25 and #26.

No, although I can see why you could think it's them.  The guys I'm talking about weren't really that popular in the U.S., although they were fairly big in Europe.  (I know.  That wasn't very helpful.)

Obviously, all other guesses have been correct.

Ok, I thought about it some more because I remember that song.  Then i had to cheat a bit.  It is Dakota Moon - "Sing You To Sleep"

30. "Lullaby" - Andrew Peterson

25. "Only Love Remains" - Andrew Peterson

26. "Faith To Be Strong" - Andrew Peterson

8. Vienna Teng - "Hundred Reasons"

It is Dakota Moon - "Sing You To Sleep"
Ding!  Ding!  Ding!

Now for a random side note on Dakota Moon.  For some reason, I kept listening to their self-titled CD whenever I had to do a lab write-up, back when I was a junior in college.  Not sure what it was about that CD that made it work so well in that situation either.

25. "Only Love Remains" - Andrew Peterson

8. Vienna Teng - "Hundred Reasons"
For both of these, the artist is correct, but the song is not.  Although I think you know the song for #25 (because he does say that in the song), but just don't have the correct title.

It's not her.  It is from a male artist with a similar style IMO.

Josh Groban

23. some song by Michelle Branch.

15. Kutless?

Shame on me for not getting #9 right away.  He's one of my favorite artists and I've met him. Super nice guy.  It's "Dangerous" by the short Justin McRoberts who does not sign autographs for good reason.

No, but that was a good guess considering that Kutless has about 4 or 5 songs I actually like.  (Of course, compare that to the 30+ I don't like.)

Oh yes.  I've met him too.  He also told a lot of funny stories the last time I saw him in concert.
