"Band" might be overstating the case a bit. They all sounded like textbook studio players gathered just for the one album, to my ears.

I read Erlewine's review before listening to the album - I figured "merely nice and safe and pleasant" would be OK if these things were all true in the sense that they were for "Tonight and the Rest of My Life", but unfortunately most of it's way more sedate and way less memorable.

Shoot. I just did the math and realized that Brenden's gonna win, unless of course he and I are way off and someone else pulls into the lead from behind us both.

My strategy throughout most of the game, once I realized I was in or close to the lead, was to guess exactly the same thing as the person who seemed to be the closest threat, thus reducing it to a problem of me guessing their rating and them guessing mine. I employed this strategy for the final round, knowing I had an album that I was probably going to rate low, thus making it more likely for me to hit the person in the lead (Brenden) closer to the target than they hit me. I now know that Brenden is one star off from how I rated my final album, thus giving him 5 points. I guessed everything else the same as him, so even if I'm dead-on in guessing his rating and I get 10 points, both point sums get averaged over 5, so this only gives me a 1 point advantage over him in this round, and he's currently 1.2 points ahead of me.

So I'll just prematurely congratulate Brenden on a job well done (wait, isn't he running this game?), and cross my fingers that plvarona doesn't knock me out of second place. Hey, I've never done this well in previous games.
