I missed the Music Rebus Game... but it became hard to come up with new clues that we hadn't already done. So, I came up with this... the Movie Rebus Game! (Mods, feel free to move to Games if that's more appropriate... that folder was under Music, so I wasn't sure where the best place would be for this.)

The object is simple... for each set of three rebuses (rebi?), identify the names of the three movies, and then name the actor/actress that each movie has in common.

SET ONE:

A.

B.

C.

SET TWO:

A.

B.

C.

SET THREE:

A.

B.

C.

Have fun!

I'll put up a round 2 as soon as I can think of one. Or, if anyone else is inspired, go for it.

I had a hard time coming up with the 3-with-one-actor-in-common theme but I did think of some single ones.

1.

5A- The Two Towers?
6A- Return of the King
6B- Flushed Away
6C- Six Degrees of Separation

And the actor for set six is Ian McKellen.

here are the clues to mine.

1. it's not a dairy herd. note the flecks in the rocks. also, the movie could be two different ones, but the name of the Monet painting is significant.

2. the bones aren't significant to the rebus. for the rebus, the word for the fishing things is not pronounced according to the dictionary, but I've heard people say it this way.  the Romantic composer's monosyllabic last name would be a huge clue to the answer.

oh yeah, and in case I wasn't clear, the two movies don't have an actor in common.

I imdb'd to see who was in TTT and 50 First Dates (which I haven't seen and had figured out earlier but thought someone else had posted the answer already but now I don't know what I thought I saw) and still can't figure out the joined-at-the-bill duck dance.

okay so my leg-bait-dudeguy one seems to be too hard even with the earlier clues. dudeguy is Franz Liszt.

Not sure what the 2nd one is in that set, but the common actor of The Two Towers and 50 First Dates is Sean Astin.

yep. shin + lures (which I have heard pronounced "lerz" by more than one person, odd) + Liszt.

They're not ducks, and they're not joined at the bill (the picture just makes it look that way because one's bill is behind the other).

(I actually did know they're not really joined at the bill.)

this one was driving me batty so I imdb'd again and figured it out. that's probably cheating so I'll leave it for someone else to figure out. it's really not that hard but I didn't know the birds are called that.

It depends on what part of the world you're in, I think.
