Of course, the mere fact that Jarvis would end the album with an eight-minute disco song is itself telling
It tells me that he's been listening to My Morning Jacket.

Pleasantly surprised at the Nutini review, Josh. I'm glad you like the album.

Great review of the new Moby album, Josh. I was beginning to think that Moby had lost it a little bit, and then this.

Yeah, one of those albums from an artist who's been drifting then suddenly snaps back into focus. Not unlike the new Mos Def.

I can say with a care minimum of hyperbole that, since around 2001 or so, Jack White has more or less been rock and roll, period. Wow. Quite the statement.

Well Josh makes a good point. Since 2001, The White Stripes did win 3 Grammy Awards for Alternative album, had several successful projects, is highly regarded throughout the industry, and helped inspire a whole new wave of garage bands.

Yeah, he does, especially if one is thinking in terms of influence rather than output. I love the guy, too.

Yeah, influence is about right-- influence and aesthetic. White embodies the spirit of rock and roll more than anyone else. I think it's an accurate statement, honestly.
