it's my turn to post a prayer request...this morning I woke up with my ears feeling "full", like from a change in pressure, but they would not clear and certain sounds, like slamming doors or even the dull sound of me bumping into something, are painful, like the vibrations are echoing in my head. and I don't know what to do about it. I've had this before, years ago, and I don't remember what I had done about it then...
I don't have a doctor in this area, and at the moment my dad, who would know of one, is away. but I don't have any insurance or anything and I don't think he will take me to the doctor unless it is really serious.
I'm glad that today is a holiday and I don't have to start school or go to work, but I'm concerned about what I should do tomorrow. but I shouldn't worry about tomorrow, should I?

anyway, prayer would be greatly appreciated.

I'll remember you in my prayers, Schil. Sounds painful, not to mention frightening.

Do they have one of those walk-in clinics nearby? I've been to those a few times, and I seem to remember them being relatively affordable. At least the ones in Knoxville.

thanks for the prayers, Josh.
I don't know if there are any walk-in clinics nearby. I tried doing a search but didn't come up with much. my dad got home tonight and I chatted with him a little. I'm going to see how I feel tomorrow and try to go to school and then go from there.

I'm sorry to hear about your ears (...). My mom has problems with her ears, so I've encountered some websites regarding problems like this. You might check out this page and see if it has anything useful. And I'll keep you in my prayers.

hehe...thanks, Vlad!, for the prayers and link and joke.

my ears don't feel any better today, so this afternoon I'm going to the doctor. my dad made the appointment for me. just have to sit through one more class today (have to show up so I don't get bumped to accomodate someone who wants to add). not sure yet if I will try to go to work or not.
I'm hoping and praying the doctor will have something that will take away this full feeling in my ears *soon* so I can hear normally again. I will even be glad to hear annoying noises again, if I could hear them normally and without this echoing/vibrating feeling everything currently gives me.

That's not good.  Sad  I will certainly be praying for you: that God would help the doctors help you and heal your ears or at least find something to medicate the problem.

thanks, afroboy.  Smiley

the doctor gave me some antibiotics and yesterday my ears felt better and today they feel almost back to normal. some sounds still are irritating and weird but at least the vibrations aren't painful anymore.  Smiley
