LotR:EE and a general sort of heads-up thread for dvd boxed sets on sale

my local Costco has the extended dvd sets of all three LotR movies on special for $10.99 per boxed set. I suppose most people who wanted them would've gotten them long before now but I couldn't help feeling like buying them to have on hand for gift-giving or something. (I didn't though.) anyway, just felt like sharing the news somewhere in case others might be interested. feel free to use this thread for other such notifications. I've noticed that Target sometimes has boxed sets marked way down so sometimes I stop by just to look. (for some reason I rarely see their print ads.)

I saw an ad for Circuit City on Sunday that said the LOTR box sets would be $8.99 all week long. If I had any money I'd get them all, and get FOTR for a friend who only has the VHS copy. Come to think of it, I need to give her a hands-up about that!

I know! I wish it wasn't rent/car payment time of month or I would buy them. I only have the regular edition DVDs.

I like it when TV shows make it on sale at Target, too.  I finished my "Arrested Development" collection as soon as I could get it inexpensively.
