Heard a song recently that really made you say wow?  Do you just love it so much that you simply must declare its greatness to the masses?  Well, then post a link to it here and let everyone else in on the good times.

Guidelines: It should be from 2008, try to make sure it's the the full song and not just a 30 second snippet or whatever, try to make it something that not everybody has heard, and I'm guessing we're not supposed to post anything downloadable.  The Hype Machine may be able to help you on that last part, and if not there's always myspace.

I'll start off with a few of my favorites this year so far:

Here's one that I just can't get enough of lately: The Envy Corps - Story Problems.  It's from the new album called Dwell.  The entire album is great, but this song in particular is just fantastic.

Elbow has a new CD coming soon called The Seldom Seen Kid, and perhaps the biggest highlight for me is called The Fix.  It's definately one of my top 10 songs so far this year.  Oh, and it features the wonderful voice of Richard Hawley, so be sure to check it out.

The Mars Volta is a band I'm sure everyone is well familiar with, but on their latest release, The Bedlam in Goliath, they have included one of the best songs in their catalog: Goliath.  As you would expect from TMV, the name is very fitting.  It rocks, and you need to hear it.

White Hinterland is so far my surprise of the year.  With a voice that makes me think of Joanna Newsom gone jazz singer, and with the prettiest instrumentals of the year, this is not just an album worth checking out, but perhaps the best album of 2008 so far.  Check out one of the more upbeat songs from Phylactery Factory, Dreaming of the Plum Trees.

I think this should be a pretty cool thread if it flies and everyone puts up some of their favorites as new stuff continues to come out over the year.

Haven't heard very many 2008 releases yet. But Jon Foreman's song In Love, from his Winter EP, makes me go all ga-ga with its exotic Eastern instrumentation.

In the catchy department, Edison Glass has won me over with the songs "Let Go" and "All Our Memories" (I especially love the string section in the latter).

Whoops. Guess I missed the part where we were supposed to post links. I got lucky that those songs were all on those artists' MySpaces. Thanks.
