Just a friendly PSA to remind everyone to set their clocks ahead 1 hour this weekend!  Vlad LOVES this system.

Aww, you beat me to it Smiley

I will say that I have seen a lot more incidences of people using the correct terminology (Daylight Saving Time (correct) versus Daylight Savings Time (incorrect)). I also like moving the clocks forward because, despite "losing" an hour of sleep, we gain an hour of daylight during the hours when I am actually awake.

Still, I dream of the year when we set the clocks forward to Daylight Saving Time and then just never set them back. It is seriously past time for us to get rid of this antiquated system once and for all.

Hehe. In New Zealand last year the passed an insane law that said DST would start two weeks early so we would have a longer summer. Nobody seems to have pointed out that the weather wouldn't change just because the clock did. It's caused all kinds of problems in dealing with other countries. Also  Queensland has no DLT while the rest of  Australia does. That causes problems too.

The US actually changed the DST dates as well; the reason wasn't to have a longer summer, but to save energy. I talkedgriped about it here and here.
