The Simpsons Movie.

I haven't seen any of the Simpsons for ages. I think I like it that way. It used to be funny, but I think they ran out of good jokes. There were funny moments, but the whole story line was just lame.

I hadn't watched The Simpsons regularly since about Season 2, but I thought the movie was hilarious.

Yeah, it seemed like those who had watched the series pretty faithfully found the movie to be less amusing, because I guess the jokes had become more predictable to them by then.

I don't know about that.  I've been watching The Simpsons pretty much as long as it's been on and I thought the movie was hysterical.  The last few seasons have been a little rough, but the movie was great.

(My dad and bro would agree--Dad's been watching since season one and the bro since about age 2)

So does anyone have a favorite Simpsons episode?

I think mine might be "King-Sized Homer," from the seventh season... that's the one where Homer decides to purposefully become obese in order to obtain disability benefits and be able to work from home.

But really, I like any episode that centers around Homer and Burns.

"Cape Fear" (Season Five) is my absolute favorite.  The endless rake-face-slam scene, Sideshow Bob singing the entire HMS Pinafore . . . I just love Sideshow Bob, really.

Annually, I absolutely love the Treehouse of Horror episodes.  They reduce me to giggles regardless of mood.
