The BellRays are a rock/soul band whose sound is described as "garage rock meets soul".  Lisa Kekaula really impressed me with her vocals on this record.  I'd be interested to hear what Josh and dgp have to say about this if they've heard it.

It mines the same formula they've been using for years now, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because they do is extremely well. And yeah, she's a helluva singer. Too bad she can't seem to write a really good set of lyrics-- if she could, this band would be dangerous.

I like the fact that they went from purely an R&B duo to a full rock/soul band. 

I do agree with you on the lyrics, but yeah she is one of the better singers out there.

Fwiw, I think I might still like Have a Little Faith more than this new album, though only time will tell...

I don't remember ever hearing anything from them before this so I'm going to have to find their previous stuff.
