My round two:
Planet Telex
The Tourist
Treefingers

This is getting hard already.  I'm not sure if I can cut another OKC track. Sad   What have we voted off already, exactly?

Yeah, it's definite, for now at least.

Nothing's been knocked off until this evening, when I will post a new thread that is clearly marked "Round Two".

It's my understanding that the newest version of kazaa lite does block them, but I still have a minimal number of things shared just in case.  I use Soulseek anyway, and it doesn't seem that the RIAA has any clue about that one or something.

umm..."posterity"?

I like to say "posterior". It's funny.

use Soulseek.  It hasn't been working right, but there's a fix if you just change your "Hosts" file.

See, with any other downloading-type program I could probably get major stuff... but most of what I like to download is slightly more obscure, so installing another such program wouldn't help me much.

I'm interested to see what happens with Napster 2.0, though. It's supposed to release before Christmas.

Or you can just leech on Kazaa and share nothing.  The RIAA has been going only after people sharing songs.

Right, I forgot about that.

murlough, you voted for three on some of these albums, so I just took your first two mentioned.  We have a tie for last on "The Bends" now, and if that doesn't change, I suppose I'll just can both of them.

Sorry, I thought we were in round two. I didn't realize that would be a new thread.

A lot of the soulseek users I've seen have full albums that are plenty obscure.  I got Cat Power, the Innocence Mission (before it was released), and Four Tet from them.

How difficult are they to download from? Do people have Christian msuic? If not, oh well, I guess it can't hurt to download from various sources for the time being. it's not like KaZaa has been that reliable for obscure stuff anyway.

Hey, can we get Josh to lock this thread when voting round 2 starts, just so none of us tries to vote again in this thread? Might make life easier.

It isn't as reliable as Kazaa, I'm afraid, because it's more similar to Napster (you download from one user, if he goes offline or whatever, your download is screwed and you have to start over).

The good news is that I'm pretty lucky with completing downloads I start.

Christian music?  I've only looked for Starflyer stuff, and they had some of that.
